Camp Outreach, established in 2005, is an annual outreach event for children, youth and parents of Gilmore Park. It’s a way of bringing many children together to learn ways to actively help others in the community. Each person is given a “passport” in order to complete various activities such as cookie-making, soup-making and scarf-making. There are also toiletry kits, soup-in-a-mug kits and birthday party packs. All items are gathered together and evenly donated between various agencies in the city that help those who are in need. The event also includes an evening vespers service, music & singing, work outings to visit some of the agencies and more!
