Spiritual Care and Counselling

It is our desire that everyone who enters our doors is cared for spiritually, whether or not they are in crisis, going through everyday difficulties in life, or are celebrating a change or rite of passage. The best way to receive ongoing care is by joining one of our small groups. Trained lay pastors and a group of caring peers will give you ongoing support and care. Lay Pastors can develop ongoing, meaningful, long-term relationships with 4-8 people. The Minister has some four-to-five hundred people under her pastoral care, and can therefore only respond in an immediate crisis (which she is most willing and able to do).

Rev. Anna does offer spiritual care and counselling to individuals, couples and families for a variety of presenting issues. She is also a volunteer chaplain at Richmond Hospital one morning per week. If you know of someone who is hospitalized and would like to receive care from Rev. Anna, please call the church office and have her paged.

Pastoral care Team

Our pastoral care team is a group of trained, dedicated and loving women who will reach out to those in particular need. The team’s ministry includes:

  • prayer support
  • hospital, nursing home, shut-in and hospice visitation
  • crisis and bereavement support such as food, cards & other hospitality
  • transportation
  • communication to others

Please contact the Church Office for help or support, and the Administrator will gladly put you in touch with the head of our Pastoral Care Team or one of its members.
